Inside cover

Written for the
work of starting.

Boring D2C is an educational publication from the performance team at Boring Commerce. We work on paid growth for Indian D2C brands.

Who writes these pages

The team works across Meta and Google ads, marketplace ads, creatives, landing pages and retention. Here we explain decisions a founder faces before those activities can work: the offer, the store and the money left after a delivered order.

We write for founders about to start or in their first year. The guides turn early decisions into cost sheets, store checks and launch tasks.

Where the numbers come from

Each guide links the public documentation behind its definitions and platform instructions. We label worked examples where they begin and show the arithmetic. Use supplier quotes and your order records to fill in the worksheets.

When we publish our own account data, the article will state the source, observation window and sample. An aggregate or range requires at least three brands. A smaller sample is labelled as an example. We do not publish client names, exact single-brand revenue or combinations that reveal a client.

What is in this first edition

Start with the plain meaning of D2C, then read the business model, first-store and product launch guides. Public sources were checked on 06 Nov 2026.

Corrections and changes

Check the linked platform instructions when changing a live store. A material correction changes the article's updated date and its source note. To flag an error, add the article address and the correction when booking through the launch review page.

Read our privacy page for how browsing, fonts and call bookings work. Booking links include the publication and referring page so the team can see which guide brought you to the call.
